With a little photoshop and pencils, this is the improoved old drawing I did for a class last year.
I am starting to worry about my November. The absolute worse month of the year. That is because in my university, all the assignments due to the exact same day or week, and there are about seven classes which require some sort of hand-made crap. So, put together a whole lot of crappy jobs and you get a big pile of crap in the end. But why crap? Caroline, are you such and idiot that you can't dedicate to your work? Bull crap.
Uhun I do, but come on...
*I have to sew 5 types of cats in fabrics and put together a Cat Art (toy art) line of products
*Think of a presentation for the big issue about Traditional x Digital illustration and think of a problem for it and a way to solve it
*Group up a portfolio for a computer graphics class - God knows how
*Interview a bunch of people asking how the hell do they open cans - yes, cans, metal ones - and analyze the ergonomy of the damn thing, by the way, cans are dangerous...
* Seek how diapers are made, and how other way it could be made, so it's ecologically friendly or cost free for the producer
*Design three types of furniture for boys
*And learn about God and his etics and how we all should live in harmony...because it's a catholic university and I am obliged to do it.

* AND in the end suck all the rest of creativity I have and draw stuff for my art teacher...
Sooooo, how the hell is all this going to end up looking like something fell out of a catalog?

Kitty Fun

This is another Kitty fun picture. I really like these Tabby cats, stripes are interesting in any animal. To say another weird fact, I love drawing trees...branches...not leaves though. o.Ô

Sorry for the delay in posting, things are kinda crazy lately. I hate having to burst my brain into stuff completely different than drawing, but I've been trying to make good use of any opportunity I get to put my skills at test. At least the Gouache color scales are usefull - ugh, dear God - although the teacher seems to think it's more important to cut and glue them better than the painting itself. Whatever. All I know is that Tallens can't produce enough Gouache to cover up my mistakes and not at all economic way of using it. So, until I have room for fresh air, I'll post the old stuff. Surprisingly this is another Big Cat study I did, one of the first ones I did in Colored Pencils - which I do not like to use, just to look at the organized box of pencils. I've been going through a Identity Crisis in the last year and half, It's about time I realized what the hell I want before robots start to illustrate. And now that I've discovered that my astrological ascendent is Gemini, my lack of progress does not surprise me.

My Cat

This is a fun illustration of my pet cat Cher, she is a 7 year old Persian Tortie. My cats have great personallity and are very fun to watch. I went to a Cat exposition and took some pics, I'll select some to put here later. Well, now that my classes have started, things will get complicated. At least I have a Gouache class on tuesdays and some practice will rise from it. Thank God.

Bird

I usually don't draw birds, so I really had no idea how to it when I got assigned at school to do so. It was fun to do the feathers and details on the face, however, I still found it hard.

This is one of the Bird studies. Black and White pencil drawings are my favorites...

Having said that animals never leave me, in fact, they seem to stalk me every where I go - bizarre laugh - This is another example. Horses are so fun to draw - I said fun, not easy - and it's been a while since I drew one. The cats studies are taking all my time...actually, sanitary furniture is taking all my time and patience...(design project) o.Ô

Since I have a special bond with cats of all kinds, you'll probably be seeing a lot of posts with cat studies. I love the structure, spirit and design of the cat. It is indeed the most beautiful creature on this planet. With delicate and wild personality, at the same time it's independent and full of love to give. Well, I guess I am a cat person...with a catlike way of living.

But hey, still like dogs anyway.
